Maduro Claims Has Evidence Trump's Counsel Attempts to Finish him

Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro said he had evidence of the involvement of the United States National Security Adviser, John Bolton, who was behind the attempted assassination attempt on him in 2018.

In August 2018, Maduro attended a military parade in the Venezuelan capital of Caracas. The program was suddenly turned into chaos by the presence of the drone that exploded near the stage when Maduro made a speech. Maduro was not injured in the incident. But seven Venezuelan soldiers were injured.

Guards were protecting Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro when a drone exploded near the stage as he gave a speech at a military parade in Caracas in 2018.

The authorities later declared the incident as the attempted murder of Maduro. Meanwhile, Maduro himself blamed the attack on Venezuela's right-wing opposition groups, as well as the US and Colombian governments.

"A year has passed since the attempted murder. "I can say that today I have evidence, proving that the attempted murder was carried out on the instructions of John Bolton from the White House," Maduro told US journalist Max Blumenthal, as broadcast on state television.

"It all leads to John Bolton, who has a criminal way of thinking "The mindset of a murderer," he added.

"I cannot accuse President (US) (Donald) Trump at this time but I have every reason to ask for an inquiry into John Bolton's activities," Maduro said as quoted by Sputnik on Wednesday (7 / 8/2019).

In December, Maduro accused Bolton of preparing a plan to overthrow and kill him.

Venezuela is experiencing an escalating political crisis in January after the US-backed opposition leader, Juan Guaido, declared himself interim president. The United States, as well as the European Union, later imposed sanctions on Venezuela and froze its assets. Maduro called Guaido a US puppet and accused Washington of governing government changes to take control of Venezuela's natural resources. { Source }
