"During this summer vacation, it's important to take time off after the first part of the season and take a break. But now I can't wait to get back on track, return to M1, and concentrate on the second part of the season," Rossi was quoted from Crash on Thursday (1/8/2019).
The Brno Automotodrom circuit is not a new track for Rossi. He had previously achieved success there while riding a motorbike in the 125cc class in 1996. After winning his first victory in the motorbike Grand Prix championship, the winning tap continued to flow.
In 1999, Rossi returned to stand proudly on the first podium when appearing in the 250cc class and winning in the 500cc class in 2001. In the elite class, Rossi had stuck his name as an archer in 2003, 2005, 2008 and 2009.
In total, the nine-time world champion four different classes have stood on the Brno podium 14 times. Despite having special memories on the 5.4 km track, in the last two seasons, he was only able to be in fourth place.
"Brno is a track that I always like. I want to work well with my team to make it a pleasant weekend. We need good results, so we will do our best," Rossi added.
The second half of MotoGP will be the busiest part for the drivers. They are not only bothered with the scenario to prepare their best motorbike on the track, but drivers will also be asked to provide information related to the prototype in 2020.
Rossi hopes to try the Yamaha 2020 prototype during the post-race test on Monday (5/8). "This will be an important second half of the season because we need to improve, and we will also start preparing for 2020, starting with the Monday test," said owner number 46.
