MotoGP Legend Call Valentino Rossi Great

MotoGP legend Giacomo Agostini highlights the appearance of Valentino Rossi in at least the past two years. Agostini considered The Doctor was not great and as strong as the competitors who continued to undermine his ferocity across the track.

When compared with his teammate at Yamaha, Maverick Vinales, what Rossi showed was indeed very alarming. Vinales can perform better with the first podium finish in MotoGP 2019. Meanwhile, Rossi, although two podium finishes, three times in a row failed to finish. No wonder if his position is now shifted Vinales.

In an interview with Quotidiano Nazionale quoted by Motorsport on Friday (7/19/2019), Agostini said that Rossi had done so far. "Unfortunately he can't follow what his rivals do and this creates a problem for him," said Agustin.

"Ross does a lot of things, but the era is over. For everyone. The era ended for Maradona, Cassius Clay (Muhammad Ali), Eddy Merckx (bicycle legend). "My era is over, or I'm still on the track today," he continued.

"You have to be aware of the years and at some point start thinking. We all want him to be there again, to always be number one, but I think it's clear to everyone that his opponents are far stronger. "

Agostini further said that Rossi is currently enjoying what he can feel. "Rossi wants to be in that world and even if he is in fourth place, fifth and not winning, he enjoys himself. He likes racing and this encourages him to face difficult times like this."

Despite believing Rossi's era is over, Agostini still believes, The Doctor can turn things around at Yamaha. "Rossi has been racing and winning all his life. He has a unique experience. Technically, I think he knows more than other drivers. So if something goes wrong with Yamaha and there is something to change, judgment and decisions will be the best.
